Pool Filter Cleaning & Replacement
Keep your water crystal clear with professional filter maintenance and replacement.

Why Your Filter Matters More Than You Think
Your pool filter is the workhorse of your entire system. It runs constantly, pulling water through and trapping dirt, debris, oils, and contaminants. When your filter works properly, your water stays clear and clean. When it does not, everything goes downhill fast.
Most homeowners in Ventura do not think about their filter until there is a problem. By then, the water is cloudy, circulation is weak, and the equipment is working overtime. Regular filter cleaning prevents these issues and extends the life of your entire pool system.
Whether you have a cartridge filter, sand filter, or DE filter, it needs regular maintenance. We handle all types and make sure your filtration system runs at peak efficiency.
What We Do During Filter Cleaning
Filter cleaning is not just rinsing with a hose. We perform a thorough, professional cleaning that restores your filter to like-new performance. Here is what that includes:
- Complete filter inspection for damage or wear
- Removal and disassembly of filter components
- High-pressure cleaning to remove trapped debris and oils
- Chemical soak treatment for stubborn buildup (cartridge filters)
- Sand replacement or DE powder recharge when needed
- O-ring and seal inspection and lubrication
- Reassembly and system testing for proper flow
- Pressure gauge calibration and monitoring
We also check for signs that your filter needs replacement. Filters do not last forever, and running a worn-out filter wastes energy and fails to keep your water clean.
We Service All Filter Types
Cartridge Filters
Cartridge filters need cleaning every 4 to 6 weeks during swimming season. We remove the cartridges, spray them down with high pressure, and soak them in filter cleaner to dissolve oils and sunscreen buildup. Cartridges typically last 2 to 3 years before replacement.
Sand Filters
Sand filters require regular backwashing to flush out trapped debris. We handle the backwash process and monitor your sand condition. Pool sand should be replaced every 5 to 7 years when it loses its sharp edges and stops filtering effectively.
DE (Diatomaceous Earth) Filters
DE filters provide the finest filtration but need the most maintenance. We backwash the system, clean the grids, and recharge with fresh DE powder. These filters need professional cleaning at least twice per season.
